I’d love to but in the moment I was too shocked to speak. Everyone else just carried on either the conversation like it was nothing. I could message her and ask but it’ll go unanswered for a while because she’s on PTO

Agree with CW1. It’s hard to understand what they don’t understand but ignorance is abundant. This can be a teaching moment.
I completely agree but also hate the idea that I have to be the teacher. This is covered in our discrimination training. Their ignorance isn’t my job to fix but somehow always our burden to bear. It’s frustrating work.
