Please please do not ever use CTC comparison between current and next company. If you get an offer, do an in hand calculation. Some companies add Retirals like Employer PF, Gratuity along with Insurance, furniture allowance as part of your CTC. Others don't. Sone also have higher variable package. So when you do a CTC delta you may get a 20% hike but when you discount the above things you will fall short and may end up making less. So choose wisely.

I've been at my current company for 15 years and 17 in the insurance industry. I'm struggling to even get a callback to interview. In a year, I've had one callback. I've sought out input on my resume from folks at the Executive level and there aren't any red flags. Am I just too entrenched and the long tenure scares employers or what?

I feel I am very under paid for what I do. I have 15 years of professional liability experience mostly on the brokerage and surplus lines side. I took a break from insurance and got back in selling lawyers professional direct to law firms. I get paid 32k a year and make 8% Commission on what I sell. The average premium sold per month on my entire team is around 30k which is around 2.4K in commission (gross) . Puts me at around 61k gross . Can anyone share their thoughts on this? Ready for change

We’ve been attending a church for about 6 months now and trying to decide if it’s our church home. The only reason I’m hesitant is because people don’t seem to engage with us as much as I expected. For example, I told the pastors wife about a serious diagnosis we recently received and she did pray for us on the spot, but no one has reached out to us at all to check in. Am I expecting too much?

Kind of funny. Interviewed with a firm beginning of October. Went through three rounds, was told the team really liked me in the final round blah blah. Then 5 weeks have passed with radio silence. Every time my recruiter reaches out they say they are “still collecting feedback” —- obviously didn’t get the position but, has anyone ever dealt with this? I’m generally perplexed lol.
