Experience sharing on calories deficit -
I have a normal body build but want to lose a few pounds(especially around my belly). I am making visible progress now by eating less(work gets busy and I use that to forget about hunger), a lot of walking, have casein protein to feel less hungry. Diet is really what do the trick.
But there are drawbacks too - my energy level(especially around night time) drop significantly that the level of exercise I used to do feels hard (light/mid intensity)

If you are happy with your scale weight, then you need to recomp. High protein, maintenance or slight deficit, and lift

I’m not against a large deficit for weight loss as long as enough calories are going in. What’s your daily calorie intake?
Eating a moderate amount of calories but burning a ton of calories to expedite weight loss is great. You could have that same calorie deficit by not eating enough calories and not working out as much, which can lead to nutrition deficiencies and start to negatively effect your body in multiple ways.

And I could feel my brain unable to focus/be productive comes nighttime. (Likely from lack of fuel)

Just putting this out there as a data point. And welcome suggestions because I am definitely losing muscle

I tried so hard today to finish all my errands and read and even worked out. And I'm taking medication and keeping my diet healthy. But today I realized I don't have anyone to talk to anymore when this image of me hanging keep popping up in my head. I couldn't even tell my psychiatrist. We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Question about fiber.

Last year, I was diagnosed with IBS following a few years of unexplained bloating, chronic upset stomach, and frequent bowel movement.

Because of the diagnosis, I’ve cut back on caffeine to only 1 cup of coffee per day about an hour after waking up before a workout.

Diet is relatively balanced. High protein so I take some enzyme with fiber supplement. Fiber seems to make the IBS bloating worse which on a daily basis is pretty irritating.

Any suggestions?
