Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

Not sealed until you see that signed paper!
Congratulations! You should be thrilled! However, much like the wise individuals who responded, I strongly advise you to keep exploring other job opportunities. If you’re employed, I also recommend refraining from discussing this publicly with anyone at your current workplace, not even your closest work buddy. My intuition tells me that you’re likely to start your new job in January. I’ve heard numerous horror stories about people who receive verbal job offers but never receive the written ones. Additionally, I’ve heard of individuals who were so excited to share their news with their current workplace that nasty people from there managed to create issues with the new employer.
I would definitely keep applying!! But I think you can give yourself a few days off for Christmas and not stress out too much right now. Most sales team aren't even in office so applying right now feels kind of pointless.
I had the same thing happen to me. I’m stoked but cautiously optimistic. I’m going to continue to apply just as a safety net, also I’m on unemployment anyway so I have to keep applying to get benefits
It’s not a sealed deal until it’s on paper. Keep your options open.
My advice is this: (1) Take two weeks off from your job search activities to enjoy the holidays. If you had a job, you would probably be taking PTO this time of year. (2) Don't burn any bridges on the strength of a spoken promise. Even wedding vows are empty promises, depending on the character of the speaker to carry any weight. Words from a recruiter are much less reliable. That said, trust a person is telling the truth until they are proven to be liar. I believe this job is yours and that you will start in January. Just don't start sending out emails to companies saying to take you off their applicant list because you are no longer interested or available. I would not be sending out applications after an offer is made. It could find its way back to your "dream job" company, indicating to them that you do not trust their word. Trust with caution.
It isn’t done until it’s done! However I would be looking forward to it, just always keep a healthy dose of skepticism around. I’ve known people that were given every good sign they were getting a job until something came up last minute, and on the other side where it all followed through too.
Always keep applying. January is crazy work. Makes zero sense. It’s December 23 not December 30.
What was the reason that they couldn’t send an email with the offer now? that doesn’t really make sense to me. They could’ve put your start date, January whatever.. don’t get pumped until you get that offer letter
Verbal offer is just as good lol
Keep applying until you get your formal contract
