I received a verbal offer from Google and now I have to tell my recruiter my expected base, bonus, and equity per year. The position is L6 and location is Washington DC. I worked for 15-yrs in the federal govt, so I have no idea what to request. Any advice?
Has anyone noticed that a good amount of recruiters at shops like Selby Jennings, etc., have IB experience? For instance, recruiter reached out to me and has 2.5 years as an analyst at Wells Fargo. Why would anyone switch from IB into recruiting? More bonus potential (getting paid % of placed persons salary) and less stress/hours?
Help needed: Buying a second luxury watch with my year-end bonus (I purchased a Tudor GMT last year). Budget is ~$7,500-12,500. What would you suggest? Leading contender is an Omega Speedmaster, although I could be swayed into an IWC Pilot’s Chrono, Girard-Perregaux Laureato (non-chrono), or a Santos de Cartier. I have small wrists (41-42mm is preferred), if that influences your answer.
How is cognizant in terms of employee friendly policies, hike, appraisal cycle and variable component payout for lateral hires of 3.5 YOE? Cognizant
Which offer is better 1. 120k a year + 10k signing bonus 2. 115k a year + 10k units of pre IPO shares I have 3 years of experience
How long did it take you all to hit $100k (pre-tax). YoE, company, competing offers, switching companies? It’s starting to sink in that getting there means switching around companies unfortunately.
Will Amex let me get a second Hilton card bonus? Currently have the no annual fee card. Would like to apply for a different Hilton card with better status and earning rates, but not sure if I'd qualify for the bonus...
Currently M2 @ 160k base about to exit for a VP role at a financial services firm. Whats base and sign on bonus should I ask for? Need advice. Thanks.

I’m thinking about applying for United Club card. The bonus miles are lucrative, if I make purchases totaling $5000 or more during the first 3 months. I pay rent through venmo - is there anyway I am able to make my monthly rent payments count toward those bonus miles?
How does a “retention bonus” work? I’ve heard rumors that this is happening at some firms but nothing concrete. Would you just ask for one or do you need to go get an offer and threaten to leave (which is something I don’t want to do to my colleagues that treat me pretty well)?
Can anyone provide a % of salary range to expect as a bonus as L9 at Accenture Federal? Approaching my first full year end review cycle. TIA!

Got hired in March (experienced hire). Because of my hiring date I was not part of this year's round tables. Should I expect a raise in base salary and a bonus, albeit on the very small side?
If combined gross salary between me and my spouse (bonus NOT included) is around $230K, what is a reasonable price we can spend on a house? $30K down payment, 0 debt, low expenses each month
I know it’s not the most interesting watch, but I’m super happy to have been able to afford this before my 30th birthday! I’ve been wanting a Seamaster since high school and the starting bonus for my new gig went to this haha.
Are there any Deals/M&A Data Analytics roles around that don’t require a formal data science degree? I applied for PwC’s Deal Analytics role but was rejected. Looking to apply elsewhere and will gladly give someone a referral bonus if they have this group at their company!
Do you adjust your 401k contribution when bonus time comes around to get more in pocket or keep it business as usual?

I have gained some weight during the past months. On a one-on-one with a partner, I got a “friendly advice” to get back in shape since looks matters to clients.
Curious about the salary progression of others. How much did you make at age 20, 25, 30, and 35?
What household income would you need to be comfortable buying an 800k house? Assuming no other debt. Know there are many other factors besides HHI, just taking the temperature here
Anyone else feel like we’re all getting a raw deal on healthcare? Switched to industry and one 30 minute doc appointment is $450 out of pocket.
I'm not a rich man, but is 250k a lot of money? Sure in some parts yes, but not in major cities. If u make that much on ur own, ur doing well. But it's not hard to make that with dual income. (Cont.)
Soooo at today's morning status meeting our shitty SM was absolutely railing a consultant. Consultant stands up and says, "Fuck you. You're an asshole. I'm done here." And walks out. 😳...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Husband buys flowers from publix , takes me to a bar with 45 mins wait and finally to a random place for dinner- is it reasonable to be mad ?

Do y’all drink alone at bars if you’re traveling alone? I REALLY want a few glasses of wine and don’t want to be awkward at a bar
Not against Texas Dems breaking quorum but it does look like the media is biased. Edited ty MD1
Had a meeting with the client on Friday. It was me, my M, and two people from the client. We’ve been working with them for 6 mo, have met in person, and have good casual relationship. When signing into the meeting, I entered my name as “Santa Claus”. No real reason why, thought it would be a little fun before going out for Xmas holiday. The clients got a laugh and made some jokes about it. My manger was not amused by this and gave me lecture on professionalism. Was it really that bad/ big deal?
First day of work in consulting - logged off at 10:30 PM. I don't like these hours. People who do this for years - how???
