Just got back from an interview where they told me it was a regular six days and the position was actually for multiple locations?! Like what ? I know working six days is common when you have multiple jobs but for that to be the REQUIREMENT?!

At least post that in the ad you are waisting peoples time disclosing hidden requirements at the interview.

I responded “ that seems quite abusive this doesn’t sound like a good job.” And got up and left.

This industry needs serious reform

Have worked in both banking and consulting, but still looking for a combination of things:
1. Something that’s less quantitative / producing and checking numbers constantly
2. Managerial and people-focused - not just an IC role
3. Ideally remote with some kind of international flavor

2 years post-MBA, 9 total YoE, incl. MBA

What was your final round interview like? Have two coming up with two MD’s at the same firm and trying to be easy breezy about it.

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. I have a question. I work as an assistant manager been a manager for a while worked for the company for 6 years. I know crew gets paid a dollar less than me yet a do a lot ( its part of my job ) I asked for a raise I was told wait 3 months. Waited I asked again was told I needed to do this this and that. Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
