In TCS salary breakup I found there are 2 component of variable pay one is monthly and 2nd is quarterly both having same digit in breakup. I don’t understand whether I will be getting monthly variable as fixed and QVA as per the quarterly performance of myself team and company.

Can someone explain why all back office roles at investment banks are regarded so poorly? I hear things like the jobs are really dull and the pay is low. Is this true across the board? I'm thinking of internal consulting roles at investment banks. These seem to be interesting opportunities with decent compensation. Why all the hate on anything that isn't front office IB?

Cisco CTC - 16.2LPA , Fixed - 15.1LPA - Cisco TAC role.

Verizon data services llc - CTC 18LPA , Fixed - 16.1LPA

YOE - 6.5 Years
CCTC - 7.2 LPA
Tech - Networking and Security

Conflicted between both as I believe Cisco has a better brand value and great company to work for. But the offer from Verizon is competitive.

Hot Take: There are very few reasons for junior level consultants to keep any savings in savings accounts. Money for near-term bills/discretionary spend should be in checking accounts (3-4 months—6 for the especially wary) and the rest should be in higher-return instruments like ETFs. Junior consultants should be far more risk-tolerant given their age and expected future income. I don’t know how services like Marcus have won over so many yuppies—it seems irrational.
