AI questions are becoming common, but not knowing tools yet is rarely an automatic rejection. What matters more is showing willingness to learn and how you adapt to new tech quickly.

Man, AI has been out for many years now, it is becoming a train of change in many businesses! If I were you I wouldn't think too much about that single interview, just keep this in mind for the next one, you need to experiment with these tools and be prepared if it gets asked for in your next job.
It's not completely unreasonable to still have minimal hand-on experience with different AI tools, but you need to have an understanding of what is out there and demonstrate a willingness to learn and use them.
More interviews are asking about AI tools now, for sure. I don’t think it’s an automatic rejection, but I do think it’s a wake-up call to get at least comfortable with a couple of tools in your field.
