Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

If you like EY, try to get 135k commit from Deloitte then ask EY to counter. High probability that they will

Is Deloitte SC really more senior....or did they find a way to delay paying people the money they deserve by one year.
Hmmmmmmm
They didn’t pay less when they created Analyst. Everything shifted up slightly. PwC and KPMG did same thing just added the level at the top of pyramid instead of bottom. Granted I wouldn’t consider it more “senior”. G1 point of a M is an M is correct however lot of firms do not have sales requirements at M which D does so I’ve seen it happen a good bit where M at D have left for SM/D at others.
Are you home grown and just became senior in October? I concur with EY1, I wouldn’t leave unless it was at least 130K w a sign on bonus. Maybe you can haggle w Deloitte and tell them you banked your bonus.
That is correct (homegrown, senior in October) - thanks for the insight
I am an M at D and most likely offer will land at $120-$130. I’ve seen some seniors upwards of $140 but usually are those with quite a bit of YOE. One thing is Ds bonuses are significantly better. If you can get a solid offer (ask for signing bonus as well you can probably get $10k-$20k) then go back to EY.
Sorry meant you can get an offer probably between 120-130 plus I’d try to get a $15k signing bonus. Then take that back to EY and see if there is a counter. In fact you’d be coming in at beginning of performance year so your next raise wouldn’t be till 2023 summer. I’d argue this point with D if you got a lower offer and see if you can’t get 130-140 with $20k sign on to offset that longer period for raise and bonus. You then could expect in 2023 if all goes well and performance is there anywhere from a 10-20%+ bonus.
