When you find yourself contemplating how to get yourself fired and land a sweet severance package. You know you've been at it too long.
Lots of farewell emails this week at PwC. People getting laid off? Has anyone heard anything about it?
With all these talks about layoffs, do you guys have any advice for when that time comes (negotiations around benefits, pay, prolonging it, etc.)? -Hasn't happened to me but I'm curious
What other firms are experiencing FS layoffs? Sounds like majority PwC based on previous posts.
I feel like it's super hard to get fired due to the high turnover and burn rate as it is
I keep reading all these posts about firms laying off a ton of people. Can someone explain what happens after one gets laid off? Like do they just fire you and that's it? What happens to the pay? Etc.
Are more layoff waves coming? You can track the layoff dates by simply following the Dow, which will drop again as this cycle comes to an end.
hypothetical- let's say you got laid off from your firm. You see a similar position on website and apply. Recruiting team then reaches out to talk about the opening. Do you take the call?
Getting to that point where I need to balance between being shitty at my job so I get rolled off, but not shitty enough to get fired
Just got pulled off my main project and don't have any project scheduled yet.... Feel like I will be fired :(
I won't be surprised if people get fired for using fish bowl. With the social media harvest of our 'anonymous' posts.
Is anyone on here who was laid off be Deloitte a few months ago? What was your severance? Have they helped you find a new job?
From reading this app. I realize we have it really well at EY. Deloitte doing major layoffs, KMPG has to come in at the crack of dawn, PwC well the hours..
Two stories I want updated on: 1:McKinsey guy sleeping with client and getting fired & 2: PwC guy punching a director. Common people, I need to know!
Just got back from 2 week long PTO and the only emails in my inbox are the mass corporate ones... Did I get fired without knowing it? Lol
Someone form PwC answer this - my roommate working for the cyber security group on the west coast is almost always worried about getting fired. 9mths with ur firm and no project. Is it usual??
Avoiding the question about layoffs. Good job Miles.

Any tips/recommendations on what do and where to go in Bucharest, Romania. Heading out over the Christmas break. Cool places to hangout, stay, and party are most welcome.
Debate ensues: is it Bbm or mbb?
Going to Puerto Rico so I can get my global entry interview in before September....#consulting
Hi everyone! In need of some advice…. I am a level 10 at Accenture making 82k. I’ve started out as a level 10 and I’m up for promotion for August. I’m not hopeful since I also recently transferred from AFS. I ended up getting a offer from a smaller consulting company called OnPrem for 115k as a senior consultant. They have a better insurance policy however, their 401k match is at 4.5% and have a unlimited PTO structure (more so PTO is at mercy of my manager). What should I do?
Meta-analysis : Fishbowl post breakdown - 50% Airline delay bitching, 20% hotel points, 15% dating, 10% random, 5% consulting discussion
PWCers do you like G Suite for work? I feel like from a collaboration standpoint it is much more effective in our line of work than O365
How many people are dating other consultants? It's just so much easier not having to explain all the baggage that comes along. No pun intended.
For the first time in my 4 years in consulting I noticed first-hand white privilege at work. Being a white male myself I didn’t realize how real this phenomenon actually is in the workplace.
Am I the only one who feels like being on the bench during 'slow' Thanksgiving/Christmas Season makes you feel like don't have a job. Don't even want to see my chargeability.
Never a good sign when it's the night before and the airline calls to tell you your flight the next afternoon is already delayed.
How do you guys manage the quick turnaround times nonstop? I’m super confident in my work, but sometimes the TATs don’t allow me to do that thorough review that I prefer doing after completing a task. I’m always afraid there’s an important mistake that I missed because of that.
