Hi all
Few months back, I accepted @pwc india's offer but didn't join.
Now I was referred for @pwc US but as I was applying for the job, the portal shows previous application with status as offer accepted.
Will pwc consider me again?
Does anyone have any idea on this?
Has someone accepted the offer but didn't join and later joined again after some months?
Please let me know
Any inputs will be helpful
Thanks!

Then otherwise I would try and set certain goals for yourself based on where you are at on the continuum of practicing our religion:
1) days fasting (hopefully the number = number of days in Ramadan)
2) evenings going to the masjid for taraweeh (if you’re trying to do that)
3) reading a certain amount of Quran daily or in aggregate for the month
4) number of evenings to get together over iftaar with friends / family / people you love
5) other things you may be trying to avoid or habits you’re trying to break for the rest of the year (we all have our personal challenges or vices so tailor to yourself)
Then I think just track yourself on these “KPIs” and try to do your best to hold yourself accountable. And maybe update the list next year or increase your targets
It takes discipline but I would say, fast during weekend leading to Ramadan it will make for an easier start.
If you can, try and time your projects so that you are rolling off around Ramadan. Or set the expectation before joining the project that you will be taking off 2 weeks or so.
I have successfully done it for many years where I took extended time off and or was on the bench during Ramadan. Our companies are progressive enough to understand that we need flexible work schedules also. It’s tough but doable. You’re not alone!
Depends quite a bit on whether you have any control over certain things:
1) Any ability to get staffed locally or travel less?
2) any ability to take time off? E.g., take off last week (if you are interested in that)
3) would it be helpful or productive to let your team know in advance to try and set expectations or like time shift to take a break for the last few hours or go offline when you’re likely least productive at the end of a long day or whatever?
Also start fasting Monday’s and Thursdays. It is great prep for the larger “engagement” so that your energy levels don’t dip. Get used to studying on those days and see how you feel.
I’m already staffed, it is local and hours are usually 40-50, varies depending on how far behind mgmt thinks we are. Moreso was wondering how I can balance work + studying + fasting and praying, I get all the spiritual benefits fasting gives you, but tbh my brain is far from sharp when I don’t eat. Ramadan is also the month before the CFA
Hahah thanks bcg for the consulting approach. Planning on fasting all 30 days, moreso looking for affirmation that it’s possible to do all this while fasting, it’s my first year fasting with work
Finally, just do your best. It can be hard to fast in Ramadan as a professional in a demanding profession. Often without the same obvious community you had growing up or even in college. Can get lonely and is often challenging so being somewhat open about it with your teams (assuming you feel comfortable doing so) can help so that at least people understand why you are irritable or maybe slightly less productive than usual.
OP it's definitely possible and doable. I say ask for alternate weeks remote. We get quite a few days off, so use them. Try to flex hours if you can. I know some Jewish team members who don't work at certain hours and they are accommodated so can't see why we wouldn't be.
