HCB layoffs on the horizon
Paypal Hello, I've been offered Data engineer /Software Engineer at PayPal, india.
How's the company doing, is it profitable? Bit skeptical about the recent layoffs at PayPal.
Any data engineers at PayPal around? Whats your thoughts, how's the team doing and how would be the growth?

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Here's to hoping its for real. Don't shade on ACN too hard; we've just all seen similar messages from our firms only to see substantial cutbacks.
What I'm really interested in is this "kookaid batter". You're sitting on a gold mine, Trebek!
No. Official email went out that said no layoffs.
Hahaha - no offense but I would never believe an official email about layoffs. Firms will do whatever they need to keep their margins healthy and it is unlikely that they will publicize cuts. K may not be having layoffs but be careful about drinking the kool -aid. You always want to be prepared no matter what the emails say.
Our firm actually talks about things ACN. The email was an action plan not Koolaid batter. No layoffs, attrition to be expected. No one is walking out with a random unexpected pink slip.
Does the audit side count? I read on Reddit that there were layoffs in the Houston office.

Might want to read another Poster who just lost his job at K.

Leave it be, FB fam. KPMG is layoff proof because @K1 says he received a firm wide email this morning.
Move along folks.
Thanks K1
My director got counseled out which was due to poor sales numbers
I just checked with the 6 people I know in audit in Houston. No layoffs. Counseling out is expected but always after a warning or two.
Looks like KPMG is trying really hard to keep it on the DL.
Pip isn't a layoff. I've known people to get off it and even get promoted the year after it. We lose 5-10% to attrition every year this year is not expected to be any different
Based on the util and the grammar on that post, can't say it looks like it was unexpected.
@k1 - wow, can't believe your lack of compassion. Are you even a human being? Grammar is not the first thing you think about when a job is lost. Good luck to you, cause one day you will fall off that unbelievably high horse you are on.
I have been laid off before. I know the shock, reaction, sense and blame. That's human. Wondering why 50% wasn't enough to keep someone around when the goal is 85% is not. I am not seeing that reaction in that kid.
K1 - which practice are you in? I never got such email. It must be specific to your practice and not firm wide. Peace ✌🏻️
It went out to all advisory folks 6 weeks ago after the Orlando AU.
