Kpmg sent me an interview request yesterday for a job I applied for with the job description in the meeting invite. I asked the recruiter for a copy of the job description like 30 mins b4 the interview to re-read. That’s when the recruiter tells me the job I applied for had been filled and I’m actually interviewing for a completely different role. What is that about?? Recruiters are just the worst

I was selected for a l3 role via IJP in the 1st week of may and the hiring manager informed me via email that i had been selected for the role and requested confirmation to proceed with offer letter generation. I didn't hear anything from HM after that. When can I expect to receive an internal offer letter? Should I contact HM to know about the status ? Please provide some insights. TIA :)

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? I’m pretty good at Salesforce and have thought about a SFDC admin type role, but that’s all I’ve thought of so far.

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’m starting a financial analyst position at a major hospital system in my area soon and want to stick with that for a couple years before making a transition but was curious if I just don’t have the right experience for a role in advisory.

How’s the pay and WLB at the corporate finance/IB subsidiaries of the big 4 compared to traditional MM IBs?

I have cleared interview with Wipro and while uploading the documents i uploade document but they mentioned LOA & education certificate are incorrect so i re-uploaded them but again they mentioned LOA is incorrect.. so i connected with the person who sent me the link to upload the doc but no help from her.. i tried to open the link today (17th March) evening but the link was not opening... what will be the next step.. how can i upload it again.. Need your valuable advice.. TIA

Is CPA crucial to break into banking?

I am going to work as Audit Associate at KPMG in 2023. I am thinking to stay there for more than a year, then make an attempt into banking. I really hate the CPA exams for its soul-crushing elements. I am rather planning to break into the top MBA programs at the time. I have financial resources to do so but I feel quite mixed after getting the Macc for KPMG position without pursuing the CPA.

So I recently interviewed for an associate PM role with my current company. I’ve been a store manager with them for 11 years. During the interviews, I felt like things were growing great and the feedback I got at the end was great. You’d think given my time knowing the product/ company for so long, that I’d be a great fit but I got rejected and haven’t gotten feedback probably will get ghosted. Fishes, I have a job title question. Does it matter if a role is in the same project with different titles? Example: SA, State and Local, Researcher vs SA, State and Local, Business Analyst. The job description makes it sound like they are the same project. However, Business Analyst does have more requirements/qualifications listed than Researcher. I’m coming from industry (3 YOE).
