Last year, I took a leap and became a manager. In my new role, I want to support and develop my team. However, my manager expects the team to hit new stretch goals, which means a lot more work, and has mentioned reducing the size of the team (but not the goals). It feels impossible to achieve the goals and support my team without looking like I’m pushing back to my manager. I don’t want to jeopardize my career. Anyone else feel this way? Any advice?
