I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.

"Have you found any strategies that help keep money worries from taking over your focus?" I remind myself that if I lose this job, I'll be even more screwed than I already am, so I better keep doing good work. Not exactly healthy, but it helps!
I can definitely relate, it’s tough when financial stress starts affecting work. I’ve found that setting small, manageable goals and budgeting more intentionally helps take the edge off. Also, taking short breaks to reset during the day can help with focus. Talking to a financial planner might also help clear things up!
I think about how much more stressed I’d be if I didn’t have a steady paycheck. Good incentive lol
Read “I Will Teach You to be Rich” by Remit Sethi. Very practical advice on how to set up your accounts and finances to work with your lifestyle. He also wants to change the way we think about money. Make a plan and stick with it. At the very least you will know how your pay check is going to be broken up. Find free online services like Libby and your local city library and courses to upskill whenever you can. While you are working always be networking (update your LinkedIn and add connect with people regularly). Collect images and samples of all the big projects you’ve worked on and write a summery of each one along with your role and what you learned. Make a nice pdf for each one to keep with you while to move careers.
