EY application has turned to “We'd like to progress you to the next step in our recruiting process”. How soon does communication begin and typically how long is the process?

So wanna run something by you all. Looking at insurance plans. There are 4 plans that allow an HSA. 3 of the 4 are identical.
500 firm contribution to HSA = ~21/ pay period. Add that to lowest HSA premium plan. It still comes out lower than the out 3 plans. So what am I missing?

Posting for a friend who is an AVP at a large asset manager in NYC:

A smaller hedge fund is very interested in my friend for their Asst Controller position where the work would be more interesting for them but the organization structure is flat and brand recognition is lower.

How much of a salary increase should they be looking for to jump. Another point is that they've been at their current position for almost 1 year.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. The big four conspire to pay CPAs far less than we are worth. Partners are paid millions and you’re only making $75k. You should have been starting at twice that.

How much in base should I ask for a Senior IT Auditor in industry? I’m MCOL. I’ve been shooting for 115k base but not sure if I’m selling myself short.

How many pay periods do each of the big 4 have? EY I know is bi-weekly (i.e. 26 pay periods)

How do you know if you applied for a position to low? What I mean is got accepted for a position as a senior associate but if all firms are desperate for staff should I have applied for experienced senior associate? I have two years of experience of public accounting and two years outside practice.

Is the CPA designation worth it? For me it would take me 1 year of PREP courses and 2 years of PEP until i can write the CFE. And I am 27 years old right now. Also wondering if it would be crazy to pursue the CPA while learning how to code to be a developer as well?
