I’m an application analyst in the midwest for a small CAH. I was hired into this position at $27.15/hr and have now worked here for a year. I’m curious how my salary compares with others working in the midwest. My primary responsibilities are systems/HIE integrations using Meditech, HL7 transfer, SQL report writing, and user administration (just to name a few).

I have a new employee that started last Monday, unfortunately it’s not going to work out. Long story, but we’re fairly certain the individual is using Meth and appears to have started/restarted fairly recently. I work with physicians, so it’s a consensus. We have to terminate employment, but what ethical obligation do we have? Two young children at home and no spouse. This is weighing heavily on us.

I am currently seeking a role in Healthcare Policy Leadership in the DC Market, my experience has been in in the intersection of Healthcare & Social Services in both the Private and NonProfit sector. I have a BA in Forensic Psych, an MPA, an MPhil in Public Policy and currently in the last leg of my PH.D in Public Policy with a specialization in Health Policy.

Working in a large health system as a quality professional WFH. I rarely see anyone else on my team, and when I do present findings I see no changes happening. Our department has had a lot of turnover within the last few months, all of which were from different reasons (school, family issues, opportunities close to home, etc.). It has been a challenge to divide the workload, while still trying to remain flexible and provide a work-life balance.
