They could have mitigated it somewhat by saying something slightly less stupid, like, 'While your prior job application was not accepted, there may be other opportunities which VIOLET can share with you after a brief chat.' vs offering a status update on a clearly dead end application.

Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.
