My wife got a job that requires us to relocate to San Diego. We have never lived there and know little about the city. We are planning to rent. We stayed in a hotel in little Italy and really loved the vibe there, but it’s too expensive for us. Keep seeing sales rep and AE roles for various consulting firms (Deloitte / KPMG / Accn). What exactly are you doing in this position? Cold calling and selling project and firm offerings to various clients? Working with partners to generate leads?

If your role is being closed/being laid off (not due to performance issues) just firm downsizing, do you tell the companies you are interviewing? How to phrase it?
