Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Front of the line?! *Googles CLEAR immediately*. Lol, thanks KPMG!
Book airport hotel the night before if you have a morning flight next day; also book airport hotel if you arrive late after a long flight. This avoids hassle of taxiing or driving to hotel in city for a minimal stay, or stress and expense of trying to get to airport early am
I just wrote a guide on this topic that I was planning on publishing to my site I’m creating.
Here’s a top 10:
1) Travel in off-season and shoulder seasons to save money on travel and accommodations.
2) Carry a backpack for your essentials in addition to your carry-on.
3) Invest in a high-quality backpack. Some come with a lifetime repair or replace warranty.
4) Learn the “ranger roll” or use packing cubes
5) Always carry a pen/pencil and notebook. Depending on where/how you’re traveling you can’t always rely on an electronic device.
6) Use luggage with unusual patterns or colors to make it easier to spot on the carousel.
7) Always keep your chargers and cables packed with the device(s) they charge.
8) Keep an extra cable in your bag for charging mobile devices. Electric grids vary from country to country but every USB port around the world uses a standard voltage.
9) If packing OTC meds make sure they’re not illegal/regulated in the locale you’re traveling to. Example: you can’t take Vicks to Japan because it contains banned ingredients.
10) To prevent toiletries from leaking due to pressure changes put a small piece of Saran Wrap over the bottle opening then tighten the lid down over the plastic.
Plus a few extras…
Excellent
If you travel a lot, I recommend having your carry-on bag and toiletries bag always packed. When I get home, I throw everything in the wash, and immediately repack my bag. That way when my next trip comes up, my bag is mostly ready to go (maybe aside from adding or replacing a few things).
Also, for Canadians, get Nexus (the Canadian version of Global Entry).
Wear a shirt with zippered front pockets large enough to hold passport and tickets and money. Don't leave these items in bags, coats, back pockets, or anywhere else.
Email a color scan of your travel docs and passport to yourself and save in Google docs for offline retrieval (don't just save on your phone un case your phone is stolen or lost)

If you do have to check put air tags in your bags
Carry some fiber powder when you travel as your digestive system might not agree with the sudden change in foods
Carry a basic first aid kit, travel off season, ask the hotel if an upgrade is possible/available - I always ask if I can get a room with a view. Visit tourist sites early morning, during lunch, or before close - you’ll not experience much crowds.
I’ll add to the first aid kit-I work in emergency management and typically I’m in the field and I carry this thing everywhere (except, stupidly, on my current deployment to KY).
I put all my drugs/salves into contact-case containers. Small and water resistant and refillable. (Sunscreen is the only thing I constantly run out of using this method).
In these contact cases I have:
-day/night decongestant that you like
-lotion/face cream you like
-bug spray
-after bite
-antiseptic (Neosporin)
-sleep aids (melatonin/etc)
-etc.
Note: medical scissors (can get through TSA- and they can cut everything including internet cables).
I typically don’t use bandaids anymore (they just peel off or get ruined). I use athletic tape and/or superglue for most things.
Ensure you’re up to date on all your vax! Especially tetanus and hep a/b.
