Man I wish I saw more like this on here….
Ain’t no shame in ambition, but the tone deafness is brutal sometimes
Lmao. So true

Inspiring! More stories like this please. And less about worrying about making less than their two consulting MD parents 🤔
Big congrats!

Congrats OP! We need more stories like yours to keep us on the hustle
This is amazing! Congrats!!
You love to see it
Don’t you need a college degree to be hired into Deloitte?
I don't have college degree but I have a 9.2 year's experience in analyst position
Congrats on the amazing achievement! Inquisitive - how did you “finagle” your way into IT Consulting? Asking for a friend who had some personal situations lost multiple years due to not being able to work full time for 5 years straight after college, and picked up retails and is now stuck in a low paid dead end job.
There are numerous IT consulting jobs that don't require a degree, have your friend look into AWS or Azure or even Salesforce type certifications, they are in high demand these days. You just need that first "real" job in the IT space to get out of retail. My first one was a contract role I literally found on Craigslist, helping a law firm do data migration for $17/hr, (more like data entry and moving server racks around, but migration sounds much smarter on the resume) That experience and a referral led to me getting my foot into first consulting firm where my $50k analyst salary felt like the promise land. That's when the real climbing started.
These are the stories I like to hear! Good job!

You’re my hero!
You ever lie on a resume or forge a transcript? Lol
Congrats on paving your own way!
Nope, figured background checks catch everything, just took my time

Congratulations, OP 🎊🎉. I love it when people put in hard work and move up!
Great story!
I came from divorced parents, below poverty level, but didn’t feel poor. First in family to go to college. Weird career path but ended up working in nonprofit but also consulting on my own. Total compensation about $200K. Three kids through college with no debt, and provided a great home with an amazing wife.
Wao !! Congrats 🍾 👍👍 . How old are you Op ?
I'm 30 now, 6 YoE.
Wow. This is amazing, so inspirational. Congrats OP!
Congratulations!!
Amazing story
HELL YA! Congratulations 🎉🍾🎈
Congrats!
Congratulations
Similar path. Flunked out of college like for times between 18-25. Bartender living with parents until 29, went back to undergrad at 30, went to MBA immediately after.
Now making 180k with a wife and lots of little kids. Without changing my direction I’d be a real life Jeffrey Lebowski, and not the millionaire.
