I wasn’t going to comment, but I will say that every slimy thing I’ve seen opposing counsel do has not ended well for them. Zero props.
Sure, I think there is a difference though between stuff that feels slimy to an early career litigator, but which is actually tactically sound, and stuff that is actually slimy or unethical (e.g. lying to a judge). I'm asking about the former--not the latter.
My firm was sued by a former associate and, after 10 months of their unethical conduct, I reported his lawyers unethical conduct to the relevant authority. Within one month, that law firm withdrew. It’s help change dynamics and hopefully will put his lawyer in the right direction if not disbarred.

As a former litigator, my advice would be whenever you hear a defense counsel call someone (especially a plaintiff’s counsel) slimy, take it with a salt mine. There’s slimy and there’s effective, and they tend to get conflated.
