Looking at a Manager role with KPMG in nyc within a growing team/practice. Anyone have thoughts on:

Unlimited PTO: how much can you actually use?
In-Office mandate: how much are they tracking?
Growth: how quickly can you actually grow?
Hours: is everyone working 60+?
Layoffs: have these affected certain roles/levels?
Offer: are sign-ons negotiable? Anything else?

What else should I know?

My current company is “taking me off payroll” but instead of laying me off or firing me, are fully expecting me to take up an hourly contractor position for $30/hour with no specified time or guarantee of hours. How do I respectfully tell them no?

I love when coworkers say “Enjoy your PTO, it’s so well deserved.” Like what? It’s in my offer letter and part of my compensation, I’m entitled to it. We all are.

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Recruiter and mgr had great things to say around growth and opportunity, which doesn’t align with feedback from the bowls or Glassdoor.

For questions as to why you are looking to leave your current firm.. I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. Also kind of bored because I am on one project for a long time and I want exposure to variety of projects. Is this a fair answer or would I be seen as arrogant? Is there a better way to frame my answer?
