Looking for any advise. A few week back I turn our pano machine on and let it do it's daily check. I must not been thinking because I moved the chair (that the doctor wanted there incase people needed to sit) where it got stuck as the machine was coming down. It bent the long part with the chin rest. Once a tech came out and opened it, they found a big piece was cracked and unfixable. Now the dr will have to make an insurance claim. Anyone been through this? I feel terrible!!

I am so sorry. What a horrible feeling. Even the smallest practice expects some repair or replacement. Over my career I have definitely broken a few expensive things. Hang in there.

During my working interview i unknowingly dropped the usb cord in cup of bleach and left in there through entire endo procedure-a $12,000 mistake. Luckily the doctor was understanding, hired me, and i spent the next 13 years making it up to her! I also made sure we always bought the insurance in the future, which got used more than once!

One day I knocked down 15 plus o2 and n tanks in a small corner on tile the tinging noise haunts me still today and being one that never used them before I thought my life was over lol
It will all work out lesson learned and just be sure to keep dr in mind for birthdays or Xmas with an extra thank you!

One day I was cleaning the scanner we use for scanning crowns. I dropped the head and it shattered into many pieces. Cost the company 7 thousand dollars. Ouch!
They were very nice about it. But I felt terrible. Sh__t happens I guess..

Smart doctors purchase warranty on big equipments like that.

Can provide more details if needed, but if an employee is constantly coughing at work (small retail establishment), is it okay to ask them for a doctor's note stating they aren't contagious? They're claiming it's due to allergies, but I've gotten several confidential concerns from employees and customers alike due to the current enviornment.

Any women here with lean PCOS? I do not ovulate on my own (metformin regulated my periods but I still don’t ovulate) and am moving from three cycles of Clomid/IUI to IVF soon. No other issues have been found other than my PCOS (HSG shows tubes open). Curious about your experiences. And the reason I mentioned lean PCOS is because it seems for others with PCOS part of the fertility path is diet/exercise/weight loss but I am already very tiny.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

Hello everyone I have 29 years as a dental professional in Texas. I started as a dental assistant back in 1993. As my career progressed as a RDA, I moved to the front office and eventually management. I even taught dental assistants and became the Program Director of a DA program. COVID opened up remote work for me, I manage eclaims, claims corrections and billing for two offices. $20 per hour, no bonuses or incentives, I know I am not getting paid enough! Any input would be appreciated.

I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . It's a skill I'm glad to know that I can always find work but the burnout for nothing isn't worth it. Can anyone relate
