Disagree with above...small shops are pretty much the only place you’ll be able to stand out + have high comp trajectory
Every big place (FAANG included) limits you via payband
Totally agree C1. Everyone gets juiced up for FAANG and become a small cog in a large wheel and are in charge of essentially nothing. I’d rather take the high pay with added responsibility of making genuine change in an org
Take the money. You can always boomerang.
Brand problems are a thing of the past. Don’t be wed to brands. That comp increase is absolutely bonkers. Are you kidding me? This should be a no brainer. And no, comp is not everything and you gotta weigh other factors, but in this case, it is wayyyy too good, dude. Lol. Take it and don’t look back! You’re gonna be tired of consulting soon.
And let me guarantee you something, you’ll be hard pressed to find a gig at F500 that pays that much even a few years out.

Yes, branding matters.
Yes, it matters, but everything on your resume doesn’t need to be a strong brand. Presumably the b-school and consulting firm are big names, so you can go to the startup—especially with that $$$ congrats.
What's the name of the small healthcare company?
Go on...
Agreed with SC1 branding totally matters. I have a few colleagues that left consulting for new industry roles baited by a higher salary. Most leave after a year from hating it or being let go for bad company financials.
Brand matters but... you need to do the maths and see if the risk is worth it.
Let’s say, it doesn’t work out after 1 year, wouldn’t you be able to come back to your firm or another consulting firm?
I would take the money and boomerang to reset the brand problem.

You should take the money, but that seems really low pay for a post-MBA at a T2... isn’t pay standardized?
ACN is at $155 for the class starting between now and October
Appreciate the perspective - certainly hope I could either boomerang or jump back in at current level at a different firm
How???
Banding is useless... you have an MBA and a consulting brand. Now if you are going to a smaller company time to actually prove yourself... I would take it!
I’m trying to exit to a healthcare tech startup!!! Congrats that’s awesome if you’re feeling generous DM me the company
I’m with C1 currently in HC consulting but thinking about making the switch to industry/tech. Do you mind messaging the name of the company?
