Looking for thoughts/advice. I’m a clinical research nurse in oncology (3 years) with a total of 10 years experience in nursing. Nursing is also a second career, formerly worked in Finance for 10 years. I’m pondering next steps in career and what would be a good path and way to position myself. I’m pretty open to ideas. Current ideas are pharma/biotech (seems to be tough to break into), specializing in healthcare IT, sales (pharma/device), possibly obtaining advanced degree (MBA). Thoughts?

Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. Due to obvious conditions my comp for the calendar year (salary+bonus) is back to 2017 levels although my overall sales are more than double and 1/3 less total comp than last year. It seems like comp opportunity is always decreasing during good times (I get it) but when it comes to adjusting during bad times, nothing was done. Is this normal for industry sales?

Has anyone taken the CCRP exam? Currently looking for test prep resources and there are very few. The exam book combo I found on Amazon has mixed reviews and I think the best way for me to prep is to see the questions and get comfortable with them.

Duties would have me responsible for a small team of research nurses as well as other managerial duties for the department.
