I would take the job! Any job is better than no job. Take it and keep looking.
That’s true, it’s just a big change in lifestyle as I was working remotely and would have to consider time commuting and cost as well as other care obligations. While it is a paycheck, it is tough for it to go far as I live in a HCOL area but the position is not situated in the same vicinity.
Take and keep looking, realistically you won’t be there long, but if you haven’t found anything else, you may need it to keep ends meet. If you’re getting reasonable hits then maybe not a bad idea to hold off, but you have the best pulse on the market right now
No. Although it’s not comfortable to let them know you got another offer, you have to look out for yourself and find the best opportunity that comes your way. Companies know this happens and are prepared to deal with these situations. I wouldn’t worry about it. If they take it very negatively, then maybe you avoided a bad situation altogether. Keep it friendly and professional and it shouldn’t be seen as burning a bridge.
You definitely should take the job if you have no other options. It’s not a good sign if the prospective employer not willing to compromise or at least give you a little bump. In the long run I would look for another company.
Correct. They are no willing to budge at all. Compensation wise or change to RTO number of days.
(1) It's always easier to get a (next) job when you have a job; (2) Anything --paid or volunteer work--that shortens an employment gap improves the resume you want your dream employer to see.
True, it is more valuable to have a shorter amount of time for a gap so it appears you’re more relevant
Have you thought about staying in a nearby hotel or timeshare for the three days (you represent 5% of the population of making six figures or more).
Simple. You take it. 140 miles of travel is nothing.
Take the job and relocate
