Hi fishes,
I’m a fresher and have recently completed my internship as an Operations manager at Amazon. I am currently looking for FT opportunities. I came across and opening at Maersk for the role of Business Analyst. Could anyone refer me for the role or maybe point me to a suitable opportunity?
thanks!

Walnut Creek might be the move for you. Can take Bart to SF and schools are quite good.
Ok people lets give the poor Op some actionable advice.
Lafayette / Walnut Creek are nice areas, only 25 min commute via BART
I would not want my children anywhere near the tenderloin!!!!!!
You could look at San Ramon/Danville area as well and Orinda/Moraga for East Bay. There are areas that are slightly cheaper but the schools aren't as good so you'd probably want to pay for private...it's really just a trade off. It really is worth the money, I will 100% move back someday. Within 3 hours of anything you want, temperate weather and beautiful 😊
What's wrong with a little culture
Hell one of the most affluent areas is just up the hill from the tenderloin
Walnut Creek is affordable but make sure you buy in an area with a good school district-- one is good, one is terrible. Lafayette is nice but a little pricier than WC, probably 1 mil for a 2 bed these days
Ok, seriously, how do the firms get anyone to work in San Fran? Does the cost of living adjustment come close to covering the actual cost of living?
East Bay is affordable but far from the airport if you'll be traveling. You can find fairly affordable places in SF - maybe the haight, mission, Richmond/sunset. Potentially even a nicer area like Russian Hill or Nob Hill if you get lucky. South Bay is also a bit cheaper than the city and if you're close to CalTrain it's not a bad commute. Though getting from the CalTrain station to FiDi isn't super quick. Point is, you have options!
Tenderloin, hunters point / bay view
I wouldn't touch San Fran with a 10 foot pole. I know in our case, the COLA is less than NYC by a good amount. Just doesn't seem worth it
OP where are you moving from?
Holy shit do not go to the tenderloin at all unless you want someone to stick an AIDS infested needle into your neck while you're out for lunch.
Danville and san ramon have good schools but not as easy to access bart.
Walnut creek
A2, happily I'll be in the financial district for lunch
BT1 lived in Florida before, but have been on an international assignment for a few years.
Just got offered coke in a restaurant last night in the tenderloin. Dude just walked in and went person to person flashing the same bag.
