McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).
Bain & Company Hello, I received an offer as a Senior Practice Manager at Bain. The profit sharing range is 0-12% in the offer letter. Is it typical to receive the midpoint (6%)? Also, what do the annual salary increases typically look like? Any insights are much appreciated. Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company

I mean…that is a big raise. But <=40hrs is heavenly…you could prob run a side gig in the 20+hrs freed and close that gap! (Or just have a quality life).
Basically it comes down to what matters to you. MBB will give you more money, probably more impactful work, great perks when (/if?) things recover from the current slump, amazingly bright colleagues; but also a lot more stress etc.
Depends on what you value. If WLB, stay at Deloitte. If you want to try MBB and want more money, move. Agreeing with the other person that said this, maybe you could have a side business while D if you find that more meaningful (e.g., in a field you like)
Or just take a 2nd job at Deloitte to make up for the addition hours you’ll be working in MBB
Hello!
I would suggest to view it in a pros and cons lens.
Pros to moving: salary, career trajectory /exit opportunity (in some cases), impact on work, learning curve increases (depending on quality of work), and MBB membership
Cons: kiss 40 hours work life goodbye, potential increase in stress due to the projects’ nature and new challenge to prove yourself and make a name for yourself in the org
All in all, both work out fine. Depending on your life needs pick the one that you feel will challenge you and bring the best out of you.
Hope this helped!
