2. IBM - 7.26 fixed
3. Epsilon - 10.8 fixed
Have 3 yoe in QA. My point is will Accenture or IBM be able to match this offer ? Also want to know does ibm or Accenture blacklist if i don't join them?

Have my closing interview with Accenture next week. So far the Director and MD I have met with have both liked me and the recruiter has said that they have both given me a thumbs up and that the upcoming closing interview with the MD is just a conversation. Do you have an interest in being a doctor? From a purely financial perspective, the BA probably comes out ahead in the long run if you stick it out in consulting and consider the opportunity cost of med school, but it really just comes down to what you want to do. Being a BA at McKinsey and going to med school are very different career paths.
Thanks guys, I provided further context in a freestanding comment at the bottom of this post. TLDR I’m unsure about residency at this time, looking to make my way back into HC VC or PE. Ideally practice 25-50% while working at a fund
What med school
The name of your med school does not matter at all. As long as it is a US MD school.
Please use the online forums specific for medical students and residents (e.g. SDN, r/residency, etc) . Otherwise, you’ll get a lot of incorrect advice because no one understands the intricacies of the process unless they went through it.
Keep in mind step 1 - major changes for class of 2024
The shift to P/F for step 1 was a good move. The test is all basic science that has very little relevancy to actual clinical practice.
PDs will just use Step 2 in place of Step 1, so it’s unlikely school prestige will be weighed more heavily. When I applied to residency a few years ago, we were required to submit both scores before our applications were evaluated.
OP, I am currently looking to make the switch to med. Frankly, I don’t regret doing consulting first. Got lots of “cool” experiences, some savings, and felt like I got to “live a little” as opposed to being a permanent student. I feel like going into med with some more maturity is an upside as well.
That being said, I can’t imagine this or any of the exit opportunities to be as fulfilling. I think it really just depends on what your life priorities are. There’s tons of jobs like this, or in tech, where you can make good money but it just depends on what you think you’ll derive satisfaction out of.
If you’re doing it purely for the money, BA, consulting and etc will make a lot more sense. However that being said, once you have your MD and residency you’ll have much more stability in terms of income.
