Thoughts on PE operations as an exit from MBB?
Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Typical early tenure EM exit - L5s at Google , FB. Amazon L6 PMs (not T) . L63 at Microsoft. WLB is typically 40 to 50 hours if non intense work. Compensation 250 to 300k . Add in a level for late tenure and increase comp by 100k
Any idea what the pay is like for Microsoft L65 role?

Ask your career services team, they will give you a better idea. It depends in many factors:
1. Years in role? Difference between 0yr/1yr/2/yr in role, just being at X title isn’t enough.
2. Overall YOE? Difference between someone who went through from ug (3-5yoe) and a post-mba (often >8 yoe).
3. Relevant yoe? Both in consulting and outside—more relevant experience the more company will value you (and the more immediate impact you could make)
4. Location? Bay Area/NYC typically pay higher due to COL and labor markets.
For reference point I believe Google L6 exits HCOL are around 350, but not everyone can exit at that level—if lower yoe/less relevant/recent promote then you may get L5.
