Merry Christmas insurance world. Looking ahead to 2026, career growth in insurance feels less about titles and more about building the right mix of skills, adaptability, and curiosity as technology, data, and customer expectations continue to evolve, especially for those of us earlier in our careers trying to figure out the best path forward, what is one move or mindset you think will matter most for growing a successful insurance career in 2026?

My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.
Earlier, before the call I had Bank of america in mind ahead of CTS for its work culture ,hike %, job security and other benefits. But here in TCS also I have very good role, job security and comfort. Please suggest!!

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?
