mid level lateraling for the first time here - how many interviews is normal???

Firm 1: two partners (i assume screener), then four partners back to back in the AM and two more partners back to back in the PM…

Firm 2: one partner Monday, supposed to be two partners Wednesday but scheduling conflict so one partner Tuesday, one partner Wednesday and one partner Friday (all spread out to torture me and idk when this will end)

I just want this to be over when will it end…

these all seem normal... usually it is screener and then 4-5 partners and sometimes an associate or two

like

Don’t know what normal is, but my last interview process was 1 partner, 1 partner, 2 partners in person then offer.

One person at a time seems like torture, we interview in groups of 2-3 usually. But interviewing with a lot of people in total is normal.

I’ve interviewed with probably 20 firms with 5 total offers when I lateraled twice as a mid level. These two are completely normal. I interviewed with two firms (two of my offers) where I met with one partner as screener, almost a dozen partners (1 or 2 at a time) for callbacks, then head of corporate for the firm my third interview. Midlevel lateraling is a serious thing so firms are cautious on who they hire. Totally normal.

2-3 rounds

Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

First year associate and I may barely hit 1500 this year. Requirement is 2000, though i know first and some second years at my firm don’t hit it.

I am a in a small specialist group who has 2 partners, and they both give me work. One of them said to not worry about my hours (though they do not know how low of a number i’m projected for). Haven’t asked the other.

Should I be concerned?

Lateral that just went through first bonus season with the firm. Not in a major market but workload is comparable to major markets. Surprised at how low the bonus was. I received solid reviews and my annualized hours were well above the requirement. Should I approach anyone about this? Wondering if it is worth addressing or if it could compromise my standing. Thanks in advance!

How can I sell my 2 years of clerkship as valuable experience for corporate work? I would like to get credit for at least one year (at least in salary, if I can’t in seniority). I know for litigation they are more clearly valued and linked to that type of work, but I have reconsidered my interests and now am thinking of going into corp. However, I don’t want to feel like I wasted 2 years clerking (which I don’t feel like that, but I have to convince an employer of that too). Any help or insight?
