Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Apply on USA jobs. But first, what sort of litigation are you looking for? DOJ has a wide range of litigating opportunities. An easy breakdown would be to first choose between civil or criminal.
First stop is Usajobs.gov look for 0905, the job series for lawyers
With most agencies you won't be litigating, doj will (some agencies have SAUSAs but it's frequently a thing where you start as a normal 0905 and get selected to serve as a sausa.
There is a ton of agency adjudication though where there's no doj and agency lawyers are the counsel for the agency. These range in speed and formality from super fast and relatively informal to super slow and basically federal court formality. Depends on the agency and subject.
Look up DOJ Accredited Representative.
You could also look at enforcement positions at financial regulators like the CFTC. I think they often hire people with a litigation background even without specialized experience and have a higher payscale than DOJ. Agree to look at USAJobs.
SEC and other financial regulators have higher pay scales and are generally great places to work. Fewer roles and more specialized so harder to get the foot in the door but definitely worth exploring.
Thanks!
Thank you all! Should have been more clear, definitely applying on USAJobs, but I am looking for thoughts on sections of DOJ and specific agencies that folks like or that I’d have a reasonable shot at getting with my background. I’m more interested in civil than criminal. Thanks for the insight!
DOJ Civil Division, Federal Programs Branch. If you can get it, they handle some of the most interesting cases at DOJ.
People seem to really like civil fraud.
