I have 3 interviews scheduled next week for a senior associate advisory role at Deloitte. Can anyone share their experience on what the interviews will be like? Is it mostly behavioral? I’m also coming in from an audit background. Role is within GPS Finance Transformation. Really hoping to break into Advisory and any thoughts would be appreciated! Deloitte

I don't think you need to list them on your resume.
My first couple years I did state “references available upon request“ at the bottom, but keep them to yourself. It also allows you to give any references the heads up someone will be reaching out, if the recruiter asks, instead of a cold call. As a reference myself, I wouldn’t want my cell/email floating around to a bunch of agencies
Agreed!
I’ve never included references... id honestly find it odd if I saw an account resume with them. If we got to the stage of needing references we’d ask for the list of people.
Companies don’t do a reference check until they check you out and often right before you receive an offer. You can be honest with them that your colleagues don’t know you are leaving and/or offer personal references
Ok great, and you wouldn't see it as a red flag if someone didnt provide references?
I wouldn't, but it's worth seeing what others here say just to be sure. I always assume people have references available upon request, but it may be more common for more junior candidates to list on their resumes.
Don't list them in your resume but have 3 ready - how many, if any, you'll need depends on the company's hiring practices. Don't give anyone as a reference without having asked them for their consent to be a reference for you. A reference = a recommendation so it should be someone who'd vouch for you.
That's weird. Don't do that.
You don’t put them on your resume. Just put ‘references available upon request’ at the bottom
I personally don’t have nor ask for any references on LinkedIn, and no one I know does this I always have a set of 3-5 people for a recruiter to reach out to independently.
Hiring managers/HR will just ask for them when they need them. Upon request is obvious. You don’t need it. When they ask you for them, then you can tell your people and ask them keep your confidence. But always tell/ ask someone first. Getting a phone call out of the blue from a hiring manager when you didn’t know you were a reference for someone (who worked for you more than 10 years ago) sucks. You’re caught off guard, and it can really hurt you bc the person is unprepared to pitch you well and it can hurt you
No one lists references anymore
