Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

Probably still an academia-driven result at small scale under lab-controlled conditions mostly. Once it is successfully scaled-up then maybe it could be interesting.

It's definitely a good project, no doubt about it. Now how to move it forward - test it out in the real world and provide access to those who need it - is the question.

Sorry to be the wet blanket at this party, but I instinctively doubt the premise. Solar distillation producing cheaper water than drinking water? I would want to look at the details.
How? On what scale? Using 2 liter soda bottles and aluminum foil reflectors, producing a few ml per day? Possibly.
But on a commercial scale of 50 MGD? I don't think so.
