More layoffs at CPB today. How do they have anyone left?

Deloitte FL/PR is turning into a joke.. if firm morale wasn't already suffering from layoffs, they increase minimum hours through December while half the offices are unassigned. Abandon ship.

Is it safe to join CISCO? I have heard the layoffs happens there yearly.

Coming to the US after summer as I got my visa approved. However im seeing a lot of people commenting they got laid off. Is it risky for me to change countries right now and get a job I might lose in 3-4 months? Or it's not that bad overall?

Have a big interview tomorrow. The question I dread the most is about why you’re looking for a new job. The honest answer is that there isn’t enough work to go around at my agency and I want to get ahead of the inevitable layoffs. What’s the best way to tell them this? Boomer. I am in between jobs. Laid off in 10/21 after 16+ yrs, with an ABA firm. RIF. Still on excellent terms. Took my time living off generous package and didn’t seriously start applying until 01/22. Made a rookie mistake and accepted first offer.
Turns out job wasn’t as advertised. Mutual parting of ways 3/22. Due diligence is critical.

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? I got offer from IBM in my home location itself, with 18.5LPA fixed for 9 yea in automation testing. Hello All - I struggle with time management. I take medication but I have no idea whether a task will take 40 mins or 4 hours. Because of this, I over commit and under deliver. Also, having been on the receiving end of criticism, over time I have developed a perfectionist streak. I won't turn it in if it is good enough. How do you break out of this habit?

Right now we have a ton of team leaders on the west coast with the core team on the east coast and because of that urgent requests keep coming down after hours with the expectation to address it immediately. So at this point we’re working from 8am until like 11pm and nobody knows what to do to push back on it
