This kind of mindset is based on the same fantasy that one day, a man can become an island, despite the age old wisdom of “no man is an island.” Open a business, you’ll feel like you’re working for the investors, the banks, or the very least you’ll become a slave to your own expectations and your customers. Unless you’re independently wealthy and don’t have to work, you are going to be dependent on somebody.
