Most of the times we see discussions on FB threads where people sharing their layoff experiences but please remember this is a very very small percentage of the total population of employees in EY-UK and there are variable reasons and scenarios for layoffs. Remember the ones not layedoff will not post anything so we only get to see a very incomplete pic.Be resilient (I know we have beaten this word to death😉) and confident in the New Year everyone!

Yes, I agree with SM - this post is gasslighting
There's a balance between gratitude, those is is still in a job, and allowing those delt a terrible game to vent, rent and grieve
What? We know EY UK folks also got laid off and we know numbers. Many of them also do not post here - UK bowl is dead in general.
Not sure what this post was meant to do? We also know layoffs were broad and market based - not performance based like for 1 or 2 people.
When layoffs happen and for non performance based reasons it makes everyone feel unsafe and loosing trust in leadership. Eye opening experience for most people
Couldn’t agree more.

Nowhere in my post I have said or meant that impacted people are not allowed to vent or grieve. Sorry if you felt that. All I meant was people (those not impacted atleast) should look at positives or try to be resilient, especially in difficult times and when the situation is not in our control.
