Moving to Bend, OR from the midwest. What type of plants are good for that high desert climate?

Cactus, succulents.

You can grow anything if you create the right environment inside. Get a few humidifiers and be ready to mist like crazy. I might avoid calathea all together but other than that, go crazy.

Snake plants are great too

Birthday plan (place to go and place to eat) suggestions for my husband? Been together a long time. We recently went to Cote for a nice dinner but that is something along the lines of what we like to do.

He’s an athlete (in case this helps with activity suggestions), so likes being active, but also like cerebral activities like puzzles, etc.

We are new to the city and I am at a loss with all the options. We are young, in our v early 30’s. Open to Soho, Brooklyn, FiDi, Midtown.

I love teaching art but am having to teach remotely to 1150 kids, k - 5. Have about 54 amazing elementary art teachers in my district that share SO much! I could retire (34 yrs), but just don’t want to because I love what I do! Feeling like my students aren’t getting what they should because I am struggling with Zoom, Microsoft, safe YouTube, bitmoji, embedding, downloads, editing, etc. Anyone else feeling this way?

So about 5 years ago I met this guy at a networking event in my current city. We both discovered we had lived in NYC at the same time. He’s super cute, so kind of formed a crush on him. At the time we helped each other with job leads, etc. because we were both unemployed off and on. I invited him to industry events. Then our communication fell off around 2017 when we both found steady work. Also it seemed I was reaching out more than him, so I started reaching out less and stopped the invites.
