I’ll be working in a city neighboring a nearby state where my SO has to perform an essential in-person job. Since I’m not licensed in the state where my SO is working, I’d like to keep my current job where I am licensed but work from the office Monday through Wednesday, drive to the neighboring state Wednesday night and work remote at my SO’s place Thursday-Friday. I’ll keep a home in the city where I’m working. My question is: do I need to tell my boss? (I’d be productive as normal)

Is a role as a QA at a growing tech company a dead end role? For me, jumping from consulting to a traditional QA role would provide a lot of great exposure to software development but I don’t want to get stuck within a skillset and I’d like to leverage that experience to get into Product. I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.
