My manager is on the shady side.  I can’t believe he is still here. I do think the higher-ups have eyes on him, but I am unsure. This guy is so shady. I don’t even know how he got into his job except for the person who hired him is just as shady.  Things that should’ve went to ethics get thrown under the rug with him or he has an answer to get out of tough situations even if it’s a lie !!

What's the weirdest thing anyone has ever said to you at work? One time a co-worker divulged to me that they had a collection of troll dolls that they named and sometimes still played with.

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

I was released without cause today but my boss mentioned my battle with mental health and that I’m looking for other jobs before canning me. Should I address this with the board or leave it alone?
