My partner and I are thinking about moving from England, and I keep hearing good things about the Chippendale neighborhood in Sydney. If you live there, or spend time there frequently, what is the energy like? Is it a good place to raise a family? We're single right now and both work in arts/theater but we'd maybe like to have kids in the next 5 or 6 years. I'd love to hear anything good or bad about it! Thank you

I went to uni in Chippendale and I loved it. I remember it being a lot of other students my age, so I don't know if I would raise my kids there, but I liked the actual neighborhood a lot. There's a lot to do without it being touristy

Please please PLEASE do your research... trust me... I chose not to once... and I ended up in Swindon town... yeah... I know. Lesson learnt.

Find short term rentals initially (3/6 month if possible) while you explore and figure it out.

In the mean time:
1. Yes it's a fun suburb. Buzzing.
2. It's student dominated - not at all geared towards raising a family.

I would rent there if single or just me and a partner, but I would move further west if I had kids.

If you could go back and start over would you still choose this path? Or would you choose a different career and/or a different time to have children? I accidentally became a working parent in law so while I love my job and my children I don't think I would have planned it quite like this.

I’m (early30s) about 8 months into a relationship with a 40m. Things are wonderful in every aspect, but he is absolutely atrocious with his finances. I felt it becoming an issue about two months ago. He forgets about auto payments and just generally doesn’t care. I sat down with him and looked at everything and even after talking it out he still continues to stress and it’s now causing me stress. I had a final discussion with him today about it and he went on abt how love isn’t enough for me…

Just got a “Sheraton Vacations” special offer to basically get 5 nights at a Florida property for $250.

I read the fine print and other than a need to be flexible in terms of when you book, it doesn’t seem like there is a catch.

Anyone familiar with this “promotion” and what the downside might be? Or are they just looking to drive revenue to their other areas (restaurants, spa, etc) with a cheap room?

Hey guys,
I am planning to startup. Planning to go very big.
The fundamental reason for any business to start is to earn profits if it's not a non-profit org. But, what if the business is owned by the consumers itself. And consumers become shareholders of the business.
1) People fund the business
2) People buy products from it
3) People share profits if there are some.
Goal of such business:
1) Not for profits
2) Increase employment in country
3) Make in India boost
