I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?

Need some feedback! So I was forced to move jobs about 6 months ago due to reorg and the new leader opting to bring their existing EA with them, without even meeting me. If stayed at the company but accepted an offer for a job outside of the department I was in. The tech job pays 15k more, but from what I can see will be a cluster and super long hours (has EU stakeholders). Maybe a pipe dream, but I want to have a "somewhat" decent wlb while still growing my career toward strategy and finance.

I am interviewing with a company. Last week, one week after the interview, my hiring manager reached out to me with a couple of clarifying questions. We talked then I sent him recommendation letters from my previous employers. He said that I should have an answer from them this week whether I get an offer or not. Like, I assume that they are paid based on the level of the candidate that they bring in, but how are their incentives ALIGNED?
