That’s a tough one. I’d eat the cost in the interest of keeping everything copasetic with the teacher while silently harboring a grudge
So, if the lead teacher won’t own up to hitting your car and take responsibility is this someone you want teaching your kid?
I am sorry that happened. I would be inclined to let it go. It’s not fair to you or to them, but I bet you are better positioned to absorb $2k in repairs than the teacher is to absorb a big hit to their insurance rates.
And, by being gracious, without explicitly expecting anything in return, I wouldn’t be surprised if the teacher developed a closer appreciation for your kid.
Private or Public School?
Private. Unfortunately she is also the lead teacher for the class.
I say eat the $2k if you're kids gonna be there for a while
Don’t get it fixed or ask her to pay. Keep it there so the teacher is constantly reminded of your kindness to her and enjoy the favoritism your child receives! 😄
Does she even realize she did this?
Also assuming you have comprehensive insurance why don’t you just claim it that way
