I’ve been to his PD sessions and he is excellent. He teaches high school I believe but this article a day can be used for multiple levels. We call it shared reading in the lower grades.

I have used AoW by Gallagher for over 5 years and a graduating senior said it helped her more than anything else when taking the writing portion of the SAT and AP exams. Supports so much for reading with a purpose and responding to author's ideas.

Does anyone have any advice for applying to remote positions? How do I stand out? Most of my experience is in healthcare, clinical and administrative. I want to go to school full time instead of part time and working remotely will provide a better opportunity to facilitate that. I’m applying everywhere with very few callbacks. I’m trying to get into tech as my degree is in Information Systems. Any advice would help!

Anyone from the IDAM domain here?
I was thinking of erolling to an external SailPoint self-paced training from "identityclasses.com", which costs around "Rs. 25000" for 1 year access.
Let me know if anyone is interested in sharing the cost for shared access.
Also let me know if any better course/training is available.

Hi fishes, I have offers from Siemens helathineers AT Department and Philips Ultrasound department.
Y.O.E - 3
Siemens CTC - 14 LPA
Philips CTC - 15 LPA

Can you please help me to choose one. My only priority is WLB.

I'm 11kg overweight for my height with a BMI of around 28.5. I'm hiking, walking up various peaks and ensuring that I get my heart racing the past 3 days. In some muddy/slippery places, I put weight on my left leg to prevent a 60 ft drop, knee took a lot of impact. Pity that attempting to be more active also leads to injury.

What do you recommend, a diet using the calorie deficit method? Looking to go back to gym, hit the heavy bag & lift weights from Monday.

Additional Posts in English & Language Arts Teachers

The skills & academic stamina of students in adv. classes are the lowest my colleagues and I have ever seen across ALL subjects. Students also seem not to care about the quality of their work, goal setting, & improvement like they did pre-C-19. Being back in person for a year has not erased the learning losses; in fact, this group is worse off than last year’s classes. Do you see this trend in your advanced programs? I wonder if it’s a district curriculum & philosophy issue or more widespread.

I need some strategies! When I introduce a text I use choral reading and whisper reading to guarantee students actually read the text. After an initial read, we go back and annotate to understand the text better. However, I feel like I do all the work. The class doesn’t seem to be thinking about the text. There is a lot of yawning. It’s like they are just waiting to write down what I tell them to. How do I get kids to think about what they are reading? How do I get them to do the work?

So what is everyone using to teach GUM skills (grammar, usage, mechanics)? Would anyone be interested in something like a no nonsense, logical progression, keep it simple program that addresses standards, ACT skills, and common writing issues? We’re presently piecing things together from several sources. I’ve had requests from former students and colleagues to put something together. I haven’t seen anything that has everything we need in one place.
