We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?

Too many questions on hikes for last year : For SC / MC team it was 25 to 45 percent without , as they did market correction and it happened after missing a year of hike

What is a starting salary for a senior consultant that does energy transformation consulting at other consulting companies? I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I've been at my company since 2016, and am now a design consultant - speaking to customers directly and creating custom artwork and designs for them. I know I'm underpaid (50k/year in the SF Bay Area) but I thought the benefits and stability were worth it. I'm now severely burnt out (most of my team is) and not sure which way to go, or how to grow. Any tips/advice?

Intl Tax folks, how long did it take before you were confident in your role? I've worked for the past 3 years in a practice that is heavily consulting based (inbound and outbound structuring) and I feel like I'm only just starting to understand the foundational concepts (where I can explain them clearly to clients) and offering a shred of value. Then I'll have calls where partners discuss complex tax, legal, treasury and other related concepts that all go over my head.. it becomes overwhelming

For 2 comparable opportunities, with factors as below, which would u chose:
A: Location very far from current home(20km), indiv. Contributor role, very good scope of learning, notice period 3 months, mandatory 3 days in office, pay 2 lakh more

B: location very close to my home, techno managerial role, moderate learning scope, np 2 months, 1-2 days in office, pay 2 lkh less than A
