If it’s a good deal for her, maybe you’re due for a switch to something a bit lower key and with less travel.

Obviously I’m being a bit snarky, but it’s a good question. Coming from a progressive guy with a very career-oriented wife and whose wife has definitely got the short end of stick more times than me over 15 years or so.
Anything is possible with the right support network. Find a nanny, expect kid to hate you by 10 no matter what your career path is
Just my opinion, but not worth it. I have a kid about that age and it’s stressful, and I’m just the dad
I have a two year old, my wife is a full time student and I work full time and am a 4/5 tome student. Barely able to make it happen.
Not doable. If she becomes a consultant then you find a non-traveling gig. Not worth it to bring a child into this world if you can’t be around them.
There are other consulting firms that don’t travel - lighter WLB- that could be a stepping stone (or conversely a parallel/slowdown for you to let one of you return to the joys of airport Sundays). :)
I’d see if your side will allow minimal travel. I’ve worked with directors and managers who explicitly told our partners and staffing to be on local projects unless really impossible, and most of them do end up local for the long run save for a few short trips here and there. Maybe speak to your team first before closing this option out.
Well, I’m in analytics role. My practice realized that we can do our work fairly good while being remote. So I’m hoping to have less travel post covid world ( but again there is not guarantee of it)
If she gets an offer then I think we will try to locate to a city where either of us can have a local project for longer duration
Fingers crossed!
