Find a round trip with 2 short layovers each way, going to be a couple of bad days of travel
Google flights and look at map option with united filter on
I guess I was hoping for some more stealth / creative ways to get this done lol. I know I can just spend a weekend doing a billion layovers, but the scheduling is really challenging and it’s hard to find low point options without searching over and over again
You either have to fly the segments or spend the $, only small loophole is credit card spend for the PQP but it’s not great value
Fly ex US a few days. Find some country with Star alliance flights that are cheap. Maybe Germany/ Central Europe (LH, Austrian, Swiss, LOT)
Turkish could also be a cheap and convenient option
1. Book an everyday award with a connection, then keep SDCing
2. Book a cash ticket with a connection and pray for a 1+ hour delay. Then use the IRROPS tool to keep flying back and forth until you get enough segments.
3. Book a 9 segment itinerary. Hope for a 1+ hour delay, get rebooked on a 1 segment non-stop flight, and request Original Routing Credit for 9 segments
4. Max out connections allowed on a fare. Flying to Asia, you can usually do 4 segments each way.
5. Fly 9 segments as you normally would
