Need advice - big tech interviews, bizops interviews. With the last 2 tech companies I talked to, recruiters wanted me to talk to a team member after talking to them as a second screening, instead of letting me talk to the hiring manager. I wonder if this is the usual practice? Is it because the recruiters are not confident in their screening ability? Any specific things that I need to look out for in a peer interview that is pre-hiring manager interview? Thank you.

Sharing my experience with Deloitte USI interview and offer negotiation. I gave Deloitte interview 2 months ago. After managerial round I did multiple follow ups and Deloitte didn’t bother to reply. They asked if I was willing to relocate immediately, and I told him that my decision would be best made if I see an offer. 2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique.
